Ingredients
·
Oil for frying
·
1 tsp cumin (jeera) seeds
·
1 Onion, finely sliced
·
1 Cauliflower, cut into small pieces
·
2 fresh green chilies
·
1 tsp ginger paste (or freshly grated ginger)
·
1 tsp garlic paste (or fresh garlic)
·
½ tsp red chilli powder
·
½ tsp coriander powder (dhania)
·
½ tsp cumin powder (jeera)
·
Salt, to taste
·
Fresh coriander leaves, chopped
Method
- Heat 1/3 cup oil
in a pan over medium flame. Allow oil to get hot, but not burning.
- Put jeera
seeds into the pan and allow them to pop. Then, add in onions for frying.
- Allow onions to
fry, stirring occasionally, until light brown in color. Add green chilies,
ginger paste, and garlic paste and fry for one minute.
- Add cauliflower
pieces and stir. Add masala powders plus salt.
- Fry cauliflower
until brown in color and done. You may need to add a tiny bit of water from
time to time so that the spices and pastes don’t stick to the pan.
- When fully cooked,
put chopped coriander leaves on top.
