There are many places in Cambridge to pray and practicing Islam plays a big part in everyday Muslim life of people living or studying in Cambridge. Cambridge has a very transient and very varied Muslim Community with people from virtually all over the world who visit and live Cambridge

The Centre serves a dual role of providing both social and religious provisions for the Community.

The rear of the Centre serves the needs of the sisters quite adequately and there are provisions in place if a larger area is required

All prayers are performed and the Centre is available for use (as long as the activity confirms to the Islamic ethos) between Salaah times

Sidgwick Site Prayer Room

The prayer room is the focal point of much of ISoc's activities. See the map for details of its location.

Jamah is held 5 times a day and it is the best place to meet fellow Muslim students.

West Cambridge Prayer Room

The Merton Farmhouse at the junction of JJ Thomson Avenue and Madingley Road has recently been refurbished and for a period is to be used as a West Cambridge Chaplaincy centre. It includes a prayer room which is available to all faiths.

Graduate Union Prayer Room

The prayer room is open to Muslims from 12pm-1pm and 3.30pm-4.30pm on weekdays. See the map for details of its location

Addenbrookes Hospital

 

Addenbrookes Hospital offers prayer facility in its Chapel to all faith staff, patients and visiting relatives and friends.

 The Chapel is located on the far side of the Food Concourse in the Main Foyer
