(Professor Christopher Andrew's Intelligence Seminar), Bevin Room,

The Butler Commission in the UK and the Silberman/Robb Commission in the
US identified serious failures of intelligence regarding weapons of mass
destruction in Iraq. Both suggested a variety of remedies. The Iraq case
involved failures at the collection, analysis, and public presentation
levels. All three need to be addressed before dealing with hard cases
like Iran and North Korea.

Terrorism is not new, but the empowerment of transnational terrorists by
the democratization of technology has added a new and dangerous dimension
to international politics. Hard military power is only part of the
solution to this problem. Equally important will be the intelligent use
of soft power. Thus far, soft power has been neglected in the strategy of
the Bush Administration.

switched to Buchan Street Community Centre, Kings Hedges Road Cambridge.

off Mill Road. Don't come if you do not like music. Cost £1. Free for

MEN'S HEALTH & FITNESS SESSION
The session takes the form of circuit training and
there will be approximately ten different exercise stations. The format is
that we all rotate through each station so everyone gets to do each
exercise. It is all controlled by a qualified instructor who warms us up
properly and warms us down properly.
